Announcing the 2024 - 2028 Multi-Year Strategic Plan

The HDSB has a new Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP)! The 2024-2028 MYSP will guide our work throughout the next four years to support students’ academic success, well-being and growth. Shaped by the collaborative efforts and voices of our community, each of the six commitments within this plan works in tandem to create supportive and effective learning environments. Student Mental Health and Well-Being

HDSB has created 11 parent videos about student mental health and well-being. These videos can be found on our board's website here.  Topics include What are teachers doing in the classroom to support student mental health and well-being? Who can I contact at school if I have a concern about my child's mental health and well-being? What can I do to prepare my child for a return to learning in September? 

Elementary Optional Attendance 2024-2025

Out of area transfer request​ (transferring schools) is the process where students can apply to attend a school other than the school designated for their area of residence.

The Halton District School Board encourage​s students to attend their designated school but students can apply to a school outside of their home school if there is enough space to accommodate them.​ Students who transfer to another school are not eligible for Board provided transportation.

Applications are being accepted at your home school from: February 29, 2025

Not all schools are open to Optional Attendance. For a list of schools open to Optional Attendance and to obtain a copy of the registration form you can go to our website at Transfer Schools within the HDSB .
