Staffing Update...and Class Information for SeptemberThere will be some new teachers joining us in September, but at this time, it is important to recognize our current staff who will be moving on to new adventures in the Fall. Their time and commitment to Tecumseh has been very appreciated and helped 'make a difference' for our students over the years. Thank you Mrs. Lukawecky , Mr. Nichols and Mrs. Robertson!...and a special thank you to our long term occasional teachers who did such amazing work in their short stay with us - Ms. Barber, Mrs. Overall, Mrs. Kennedy-Allen and Mrs.Wilson. School Improvements in 2016As part of our ongoing school improvement plans, we strive to align our school purchases and initiatives to address the top priorities with respect to student learning at Tecumseh. Here are a few of the specific highlights this year:- increasing the focus on '21st century learning' by increasing the technology inventory across the grades. This is an ongoing goal! Staff and students increasingly have more access to portable ipads and chromebooks with primary classrooms all providing ipad learning centers, ceiling mounted data projectors and document cameras. Our jr / int students have access to dozens of chromebooks and SMART Board technology. Special thanks to the Halton Learning Foundation for providing over $3000 to help us top up the chromebook inventory...HLF ...

Making A Difference!We had a fabulous response to the 'Cram A Cruiser' Food Drive for Halton. Thank you to all of our students and families who contributed and helped 'make a difference' with the local Food Bank. Way to go Tigers!
