Phones should not be visible at any time. Students may have their phones on them, but they must be off and away unless they have permission from their teacher to do otherwise.
All tech should be placed in the tech bin when students are using the washroom.
AirPods may be used only in class, and only when permitted by the teacher.
No technology allowed in the hallway. All tech should be out of sight during transitions.
Smartwatches are for telling time only — no other functions during school hours. During assessments, smartwatches must be placed in tech bins or in student lockers.
Any breach of the Technology Code of Conduct will result in the technology being brought to the office for the rest of the day.
Any persisting breaches will require a conversation with caregivers and they will have to arrange for pick up of the device.
Technology can stay home if caregivers cannot come pick it up.
Families are reminded NOT to text with students during the school day — if there is an emergency, they should email the teacher or contact the school.
